Our design support team is experienced at working from any level of reference — from detailed multi-view digital illustrations to quick hand-drawn doodles on paper. When you submit your sketch, we will review it and ask a structured set of clarifying questions about proportions, colors, materials, size, and any functional features you have in mind. From your answers, we develop a refined reference set that our pattern makers can work from. The more detail you provide, the faster the process — but no starting point is too rough.

Design support services are provided as part of the overall project partnership. Basic design assistance — tech pack preparation, design alignment documents, color swatch matching, embroidery digitization for standard logos — is included in the project scope for OEM orders. More extensive design development work — original character design from brief, complex packaging design, or multi-character collection development — may be quoted separately depending on scope. Yes. KINWIN matches fabric colors to Pantone references (TPX for fabric, TPG for paper) across all plush toy fabric types. We produce physical color swatches for your approval before production begins. For embroidery elements (eyes, nose, logo), we match thread colors to Pantone references using industry-standard embroidery thread color systems. Color confirmation samples are submitted before sampling begins to prevent facial expression or branding color errors. For IP licensing projects, we can also work directly from the IP holder’s approved color specifications.

A design alignment document is a structured summary that confirms how every element of your character design will be translated into the physical plush toy — before sampling begins. It covers body proportions and head-to-body ratio, facial feature placement and expression specification, color zone assignments with Pantone references, pile direction, branding application points, and size specifications. It is shared with you for review and sign-off before any physical sampling starts. The reason it matters: the most common cause of unexpected first-sample revisions is a difference between the client’s expectation and the pattern maker’s interpretation. The design alignment document makes both expectations explicit, preventing misalignment before it becomes a physical sample.
